We originally started a group back in the early 90's where we had 12-15 members but most of the group either got married, had kids or even both and gave up biking and until 2007 only 3 of us remained.

We recently found an old article in a Jewish magazine we featured in back in 1996 on Jewish bikers and decided to start another group just to go out riding and socialise.

The response was so great we decided to make it an official group and within the first 3 weeks we had 15 members.

There are other Jewish biker groups around the world and we are proud to be the first Jewish biker group in the U.K.

Most of our member carry a Tephilat Haderech (prayer for a journey) under their seats and are well known within the Jewish community.

Our meeting places vary before a ride out but always seems to be around bagels and mint teas, and sometimes someone even brings a nargille with them.

Our goal is to bring riders and the Jewish faith closer together within the community, whether you are religious or not, kosher or not, male or female, young or old, you are all welcome at Yids On Bikes.

If you are new to riding or want to learn then we can give you all the help you need to get you on your way, we don't care what type of bike you ride, whether it's a scooter to a big harley.
